REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES.

SEVERAL DATES SUGGESTED. A meeting of the executive of the Ashburton 'Women's Hockey Association was held last evening,, the president (Mr E. M. Gabites) presiding over a full attendance. was received from the. North Otago Association asking for the date of the representative fixture. It was decided to suggest August 5, at Ashburton, the matter of selection of representative players was left to the leader of the executive and a , report will be; given at the next meeting. It was decided to hold trial matches on July 29. A, R, 0, and ]> teams will. take. part. The. following dates were suggested fbr representative fixturs: —August o. North Otago, at Ashburton; August 12: South Canterbury, at Timaru; August 19: Canterbury, at Ashburton; August 26: Malvern, at Malvern; September 2: Ellesmere, at Ashburton. These dates are all subject to confirmation.
