LODGE MEETING
THE ASHBURTON FORESTERS.
Court Ashburton, A.0.F., met on Monday evening, the c.R. fP’-n ~ TT Amos) presiding over a good attendance. A motion of sympathy with'Bro. W. IT. Amos in his recent bereavement was carried in silence.
Sick pay amounting to £l2 was passed in favour of seven members. . The report of the annual meeting ot the Dominion Council of Friendly Societies was received. It was resolved to visit Court Star of 11 akaia on July 24 to take part in ritual practice.
J3ro. P. Choak and Bro. J. Caniian were presented with r.C.R. jewels by Bro. W. S. Kerr, P.D.C.R., special reference being made to their long terms of valuable service. The officers for the ensuing term wore installed by Instaliing-officer Bro. 11. W. Crowther as follows:—P.D.C.R. and Marshal, Bro. G. D. IT. Hefford; C.R., Bro. C*. H. Amos; S.C.K., Bro. C'. G. Del low, junr. ; S.AY., Bro. IT. H. Baker; JAY., Bro. G. IT. Penman; 1 3.13., Bro. J. J. McKay; J. 8., Bro. A. Penman; Trustee, Bro. J. E. Meaclem, P.C.11.
After the meeting closed, members were entertained to a social by members of the Grand Chapter, No. 1, N.Z,
