Miss J. Barnett has taken up duty as masseuse at the Ashburton Public Hospital ip succession to Miss A. Miller.
•Mr and Mrs Tv. D. Robins-on, ol “Coniston,”' Ashburton, Mr and Mrs J. C. Marshall, of “B.iliazie,” Rakaia, and Miss W. McKtmzk:, of Ashburton, will join the tear of Australia by New Zealand primary producers. They will leave for the no-vtli to-day, and will return toward the end of August.
A presentation of a travelling rug embossed with his initials was made last (veiling to 'Mr IT. T. living, who has been in charge of the livestock department of Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd., at Ashburton, for about IS months, and who has bean transferred to the Dunedin .branch of the lkm. On behalf of the staff and clients, the Ashburton manager (Mr A. A. McDonald) made the presentation, and a number of clients spoke, wishing him well in the future. 'lTis successor at Ashburton, Mi’ IT. D. Irving, was introduced.
