EIGHTY-EIGHT PRIZES.
GAINED BY ONE EXHIBITOR. MISS 'MARY TAYLOR’S SUCCESS. Unusual talent has been displayed over a period of shows and similar functions by Miss Mary Taylor, daughter of Mr S. P. Taylor, of Eiffelton. She has gained numerous awards in competitions in needlework, flower displays, arts and drafts of one kind and another, and has even included the growing of prize vegetables in her accomplishments. She outdid all her previous successes on Saturday- afternoon when she competed at the Wakahui show and fair. She gaingd no fewer than 88 prizes, and took the prize for most points in the show (186)", the next nearest having 78. She showed in nine different sections and won the points prize in five of them. Miss Taylor is also an accomplished monologist. * Not stopping at this, Miss Taylor entered a fat lamb in the stock sale at Tnnvald this morning and received 26s for it.
