Another step toward the amalgamation of the Ashburton High School and the Ashburton Technical High _ School has been taken by the Education Department, this being the opening of negotiations Tor the purchase of an area of 20 acres of the site known as the Racecourse Road block which was inspected, with others, by officials of the Department some months ago.
