BRISTOL CUP MATCH. ASHBURTON TO PLAY AT TIMARU Winner of the Ashburton Cricket Association’s cricket competition, the Ashburton Cricket Club will be the challenger for the Bristol Cup which is played for annually by the winning club teams of South Canterbury and Ashburton,. At present, the Cup is held by the Timaru Old Boys, and on Saturday Ashburton will .play Timaru to decide the next holder of the trophy. Timaru has gained the light to defend the trophy for South Canterbury by winning the South Canterbury compel itition and by defeating the Waimate Club team last Saturday in the elimination match. A DRAWN MATCH. CAHN’S ELEVEN v AUCKLAND. \ AUCKLAND, March 20. The final match of the tour of Sir Julien Calm’s cricket team, against Auckland was concluded at Eden Park to-day in fine weather. The game resulted in a draw. The visitors scored 456 in their first innings and Auckland replied with 270. Requiring to follow on, Auckland made 305 for three, wickets. , /: Conditions were again excellent and
