BASKETBALL.
THE ST. ANDREW’S CLUB. Tho annual meeting of the St. Andrew’s Basketball Club was held last evening, there being a fair attendance. The annual report stated that the Club had a successful season last year, the membership, doubling and the finances being in a sound position. At the beginning of the season new uniforms were acquired, and had proved satisfactory. The election of officers resulted. — President, Mrs R. S. Watson; vicepresidents, Misses E. Cameron and L. Tucker and Messrs G. D. H. Hefford, M. Bruce, E. Buchanan and W. R. Lane ; secretary, Miss Noel in e Clarke ; treasurer, Miss Hazel Moore; clubcaptain, Miss I. Walker. THE RAKAIA CLUB.. The first annual meeting of the Rakaia Basketball Club was held recently. Mr A. C. Nicoll presided. The report stated that a satisfactory season had been experienced and the balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £ll 17s 9d. Four new members were elected. The election of officers resulted as follows-Patron, Mrs J. Pye; president, Mr A. C. Nicoll; vice-presidents, Mrs d>. R. Ashford, Mrs F. Kenward, and Messrs S. Bryant and C. Davison ; secretary and Miss E. Kenward; captain, Miss A. Oromie; vicecaptain, Miss M. Cromie; coach, Miss M. Brown; committee, Misses A. Cromie, E. Kenward, E ! . Kidd, and M. Morrison.
