One damaged a house and killed an adult and a child near the Danube Bridge. The second wrecked a. German-owned factory, killing four, and the third exploded without casualties near the town hall. THE CONFERENCE IN BERLIN, “PENDING ISSUES DISCUSSED.” THE DEMANDS BY GERMANY. (Received This Day, 12.50 p.m.) BERLIN, March 13. Herr Hitler, Dr. Tiso and M. Durcanski had a conference for 40 minutes, after which the following communique was issued: “Pending issues were discussed.” t A guard of honour and' the roll of drums greeted Dr. Tiso, thereby giving an official character to his visit despite his dismissal. It is semi-officially announced that Germany is sending to Czechoslovakia a Note demanding the right of Slovakian self-determination, and reconstruction of the Prague Government, from which General Elias and M. ' - LONDON, March 13. A message from Bratislava states that Slovakia was cut off from Austria at midnight when gendarmes closed all the Danube bridges to prevent arms coming in from Austria. It is no\v impossible to enter or leave Slovakia. German Storm Troopers, have arrived at Bratislava from nearby towns in. full uniform and carrying arms and ammunition. ;It is reported that 50 small bombs were thrown at houses in Bratislava. The Bratislava correspondent of the Official German News Agency claims that the Czechs assassinated General Tnca while . transferring him to Moravia.* The Prague correspondent of “ The Times” says that the former Slovak Premier (Dr. Tiso) and 230 imprisoned members of the Slovak intelligepsia have been released. The leader of the Hlenka Guards (General Tuca) has been brought to Tabor, and M. Mach has been brought to Brno. • Another message from Prague says the new Slovak Ministers have been sworn-in.. The President (Dr. Hacha) has postponed the Parliamentary session from to-morrow to March 28. Armoured cars patrol Bratislava, where the tension is growing.
