THE “ASHBURTONIAN.”
ANOTHER BRIGHT NUMBER The activities of the past school year are comprehensively reviewed in the “Ashburtonian,” the annual magazine of the Ashburton High School. This year’s neatly compiled publication contains 30 pages of interesting reading matter, and every sphere of school work has been covered in brightly written articles. A good deal of space lias been devoted to a survey of sporting activities, and the general school news has been chronicled in a very readable manner. The first twenty pages contain original work by pupils, aiid a few of the contributions show that the writers arc by no means devoid of literary ability. As is always the ease in school magazines, however, some verses and articles must be Best appreciated by the pupils (and perhaps teachers) themselves. Old pupils are well catered for as, usual, the latter part of the magazine being allotted for their notes. There are several interesting photographs and the magazine as a. whole reflects •credit on the editor and the pupils.
