BRITISH VESSEL HIT BY BOMB. TWO INSURGENT AIR RAIDS. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Independent Cable Service),. (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) BARCELONA, December 2. In six air raids to-night one person was killed and 20 injured. The British ship Surreybroqk was hit by shrapnel in an air raid on the port zone of Valencia. There were no casualties.

GRAIN SHIPS HELD BY REBELS. ITALY ASKED TO INTERVENE. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, December 2. Fifteen vessels, with British cargoes, mostly grain, are at present held by General Franco at Spanish ports. The Cabinet is specially considering the position. It is understood that Italy has been informed that General Franco’s action is intolerable and has been asked to exert her influence.
