SPORTS IN ASHBURTON.
ATTRACTIONS FOR TO-MORROW. JUNIOR TENNIS COMPETITIONS. The Mid-Canterbury Lawn Tennis Sub-Association will commence its junior competitions to-morrow, and it is expected that the courts will he in good order for the opening after the recent rainfall. The senior competition will commence the following week. The draw for the matches to-morrow is as follows: Junior grade—High.ba.nk v. Methven, at Highbank; Te Marae v. Baring Square, at Te Marae; Fairton v. Ashburton, at Ashburton. Only one senior cricket match will he played in Ashburton to-morrow, the other first-grade fixtures having been arranged for the country. The junior competitions will he continued. The following is the senior draw: Fairfield v. Kia Ora, at Fairfield; Technical v. P.W.I. at Winchmore; Okl Boys v. Ashburton, at the Domain.
Bowling, croquet, rifle shooting and golf matches have been arranged by the various clubs.
