SEASON CLOSED AT RAKAIA V PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. The Rakaia Golf Club’s season was officially closed recently, when there was a good attendance. Trophies won during the season were presented by the president (Mr R. A. Oakley). The club championship was won. by P. J. Hanvahan, and the women’s championship by Miss A. O’Brien, with Mrs S. A. THE ASHBURTON CLUB. A bogey match will be played by members of the Ashburton Golf Club to-inorrow players to arrange their own scorers. All ties in bogey matches during the season will also be played off. The final of the Captain’s Trophy will be played between J. H. Chapman and I. Gilchrist.
