WOMEN’S DIVISION.
THE RUAPUNA BRANCH. There was a fair attendance at the monthly meeting of the Ruapuna branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, which was hold in the Hall, when the president (Mrs J. Clifford) . presided. The president reported on the last meeting of tlio Executive, and reported that the local branch had received the third prize of £1 Is for the W.D. Bay in connection with the Women’s Institute’s Flower Show. It was decided to hold a social afternoon in the Domain on Saturday, Nov. 26. Competitions resulted: —Knitting, Mrs G. Sewell 1, Mrs J. Aloore 2; sewing, Airs G. Sewell 1; cookery, Mrs Allan 1, Mrs J. Conway 2; largo howl of flowers, Airs G. Sewell 1, Airs J. Conway 2, Airs .T. Aloore 3; small howl of flowers, Airs Allan 1. Airs G. Sewell host bloom, Airs J. Aloore 1, Airs G. Sewell 2.
