CHILDREN’S DANCE AT TINWALD To raise money for the furnishing of the children’s corner in the Tinwald Anglican Church, the Sunday School teachers held a. very successful children’s fancy dress dance on Saturday afternoon, items 'mere given by Peggy Robertson, Colleen Mclnnes, and Rhona Hay. Miss M. Jennings supplied the.music and Miss H. Sewell was in charge of the games. The judgfes (Mrs Souter and Mrs H. A. Childs) had a. very difficult task, there being many • outstanding costumes. The prize-winners were: — Under eight—Pauline Mill ieh amp (Tulip), J. Blee ((Dutch Girl), Lester Carroll (Pop-Eye), Alan Roulston (Swagger). Special prizes—Murray Carroll (Elf), Bruce Roberts (Proteena). Over eight—Alary Sewell ('White Butterfly), Nancy Thompson ■ (Shepherdess), Paul Eoulson (Baby), Ray Carroll '(Alilitary Costume). Special for mother present with most children in fancy dress—Airs.Carroll.
