NEW REST ROOM.

TO BE OPENED ON TUESDAY. BUILDING WELL FURNISHED. 'Tee new rest room lor women, in the building till recently used by the engineering staff of the County Council in Havelock Street, and taken over by the Ashburton Borough Council, will be opened on Tuesday, replacing the rest room in Tailored Street, which will be closed to-morrow. The new building has been painted outside and completely changes inside. The outer brick walls have been oiled, the concrete facings scraped, and the doors and window frames painted a dark green.

Inside, alterations have been made and new furnishings added, and the building should be much more suitable than the old one. A gas ring has been placed in one of the rooms, where there is also a sink. There is special accommodation for children.
