LODGE MEETINGS.
HAKATERE ODDFELLOWS. The Hakatere Lodge, 1.0.0. F., held its fortnightly meeting last evening, the N.G. (Bro. E. Fowke) presiding. Sick pay amounting to £l9 10s was passed for payment in favour of 13 members. It was decided to invite the Wakan’ui Lodge for a return card match next lodge evening. After lodge card and table-tennis matches were played. ASHBURTON ORANGEMEN. The monthly meeting of Loyal Orange Lodge was held in Hall on Tuesday evening, Bro. CToy presiding over a good attendance.
Invitations from Timaru, Lceston, Rakaia, and Staveley to attend their installation were accepted. The Ladies of Lodge No. 14 extended an invitation to flic brethren to attend Divine service at the Church of Christ on November 6. It was stated that the Rakaia Lodge would hold a special church service next Sunday, when the Rev. Bro. Hanna would be the preacher, and the Lodge was invited to attend.
The District Master (W. Bro. Church) conducted the nomination of officers.
