Using flares, which brilliantly lit up the port, rebel ’planes bombed the wharf and sheds and scored a direct hit on a London ship, the African mariner. A bomb ploughed through two decks and exploded in the cargo of wheat, blowing out a bulkhead ANOTHER BRITISH SHIP BOMBED ONE MEMBER OF CREW WOUNDED (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) BARCELONA, October 3. A lone seaplane bombed the port five times, the last time damaging the English ship Lake Geneva. One member of the crew was wounded.
