TWO CLUBS OPEN SEASON. The tennis season was opened in Ashburton this afternoon, when tlio Baring Square Methodist Chib and the St. Stephen’s Club commenced operations. Ideal conditions prevailed and there were good attendances of members and their friends at each of the courts. At the Baring Square Function, the season was declared officia'lly open by Mr F. Frampton, who expressed a wish lor a very profitable year for the club.
