BASKETBALL.

THE ASHBURTON ASSOCIATION. At the meeting of the Ashburton Basketball Association. A letter of sympathy with Mr J. McCormick in his illness was sent on behalf of the Association. The secretary’s action, in granting permission to St. Stephen’s Club to play against North Beach Club was approved. Mrs Holland -was appointed to take charge of the representative costumes. It was decided to hold a break-up supper and presentation of prizes on Wednesday, October 5.
