PERSONAL.
The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) accompanied by the Minister for Mines (the Hon. P. C. Webb), Mr C. A. Jeffery (secretary to the Prime Minister), Mr S. Y. Jones (secretary to Mr Webb) and Mr R. Riley (of the publicity section of the Prime Minister’s Department) passed through Ashburton by the express train this morning, and were met at the station by Mr H. E. Herring (Labour candidate for Mid-Canlerbury) and a number of supporters.
Mr A. A. McDonald, who has been on a visit to the North Island over the last three weeks, returned to Ashburton this morning.
