Smith Fer.ebee has wagered 100,000 dollars that he can play GOO holes in a four-day Transcontinental match. Starting at dawn he played 83 holes, and then flew to Phoenix, where he is playing 84 holes before nightfall. He will play '72 each morning and afternoon at Kansas City, St. 'Louis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York. To win the wager he must do every 18 holes under 100.
