THE METHVEN CLUB. T. Middleton was the winner of the Methvcn Miniature Rifle Club’s weekly shoot, held on Friday nights for the club’s trophy. His score was 78-79 (0) 103. The next best scores were: W. M. Holland 79-78 (2) 159, G. Waddington 75-79 (5) 159, J. E. Carr 79-78(2) 159, E. Watson 75-74 (9) 158, R. L. Haskett 75-75 (?) 157, W. Lumsden 7476 (4) 154. Middleton also was the Hotty Button
with 79. J. E. Carr 7s, W. 51. Holland 78, W. Lumsden 76, G. Waddington and R. A. Haskett 75, were the next highest scorers. THE RAKAIA CLUB. r~ Tlie Rakaia Miniature Rifle Club lias made a good start this season, several new members showing great promise. In l.lie first competition, R. Morris won with a handicap of 6. The best scores were: H. Cromie 70, I). Stewart 69, R, Oakley 69, C. Cook 68, T. Duncan 699, R. Knox 68, K. Wharton 69, S. Wilson 67, W. Holmes 68, A. Maw 69, R. Morris 64, W. McAnulty 66, H. Doak 66. The second competition was won by C. Cook with a handicap of 7. The best scores were: Rev. Ashford 70, H. Cromie 69, D. Stewart 68, R. Oakley 69, C. Cook 63, T. Duncan 66, R. Knox 64, K. Wharton 69, W. Holmes 68, R. Morris 66, E. Stewart 65, A. Pope 69. Possibles were also shot by G. Cromie and K. Wharton.
