The King of the Belgians recently laid the foundation-stone of the pavilion of the city of Liege on the site of the International Water Exhibition, to be held at Liege in 1939. All tlie cats in the Greek town of Missclonghi. where Byron died, are to be destroyed, owing to an epidemic.
