THE ROTORUA SEAT.

NATIONAL PARTY CANDIDATE (Per Press Association.) ROTORUA, May 18. Mr H. W. Nixon (editor of the “Waikato Times,” Hamilton), was selected to-day by a representative meeting of delegates of the National Party to represent that party in the Rotorua electorate at the coming general election. The only other candidate so far in the field is the sitting Labour member, Mr A. F. Moncur.

Mr Nixon has had extensive journalistic experience, including the editorship of the “Christchurch Star,” the assistant editorship of the “Lyttelton Times,” and the financial editorship of the “Christchurch Star-Sun.”
