The Berlin correspondent qf “The Times'’ says that Krupp’s annual report records a sweeping expansion to 109,00.0 employees, compared with 46,000 in 1932. Exports for the last year increased by 20 per cent, largely as a result of the locomotive and railway equipment contracts. ’lCrupps are now planning to establish a plant for the extraction of oil from coal and are also opening new iron ore mines. Another Berlin message states that Krupp’s declared a dividend of five per cent, compared with four per cent in 1936. There was no dividend for the previous 14 years.
