CATHEDRAL FOR SUVA.
LORD NUFFIELD GIVES £SOOO.

WELLINGTON, January 22
To place the work of the Church of England in Polynesia on a firm basis by founding a permanent endowment fund, the Veil. Archdeacon H. MayoHarris, vicar of Suva Cathedral, has conducted an extensive campaign in England during the last six months. He arrived to-day by the Remuera from London.
He says the fruits of his work could not he estimated yet as the campaign was on a five years’ basis, but at least one-third of the £IO,OOO being sought was assured.
A new cathedral is to he built at Suva in two vears’ time at cost of £12,000. Lord Nuffield gave £SOOO to the building fund.
