METHVEN, SWIMMING CLIP'S DANCE. A very successful dance was held in the Methven Town Hall on Tuesday evening as a “wind up” to the Methven Amateur Swimming Club’s Annual Carnival. There was a good attendance including many of the visiting competitors, who were the guests of the club.

Music was supplied by Cook’s Orchestra, extras being played by Messrs P. Lock and L. Steffens. Mr It. J. L. Duff was Master of Ceremonies. The Ruddenklau Memorial Challenge Cup was presented by the President (Mr A. It. Gourley) to the successful relay team, Ashburton No. 4, R. Bruce, Miss M. Cleary, B. ltjchards, and J. Cookson.
