SYDNEY, January 19, Heavy weather is prevailing on the north coast of New South Wales. Many ships are sheltering. Similar weather off the Queensland coast, caused a mishap to the Burns, Philp Company’s ship Montoro, which is on her way to New Guinea. The crew effected repairs and the vessel is due in Townsville to-morrow. - The Montoro’s steering gear was damaged and an SOS message was sent out, hut later the steamer advised that repairs had been effected and that she was proceeding north.
