CARROL-ROSS FIGHT. AUSTRALIAN OFFER TO LUCAS. (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) NEW YORK, January 19. A Chicago message states that the fight promoter, Lucas, has received an offer for a Carrol-Ross fight in Sydney for April 18, for 40,000 dollars, plus 5000 dollars expenses, with a. deposit of 20,000 dollars in Chicago immediately, hut Lucas is demanding 45,000 dollars, plus 7000 dollars expenses.
EVE OF BRADDOCK-FARR BOUT
(Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) NEW YORK, January 18. Jim Braddock sparred six rounds in preparation for liis bout with Tommy Farr on Friday. Braddock’s manager said lie thinks Braddock can beat Farr easily. Farr rested all day. He will have his final work-out to-morrow.
