SUSPICION OF SABOTAGE. OIL-SOAKED COTTON WASTE. OUTBREAK ON A MINESWEEPER. (United Press Association—Copyright.") (Received This Day, 10.-15 a.m.) LONDON, January 18. A correspondent of the “Daily Mail” says that sabotage is suspected in connection with a fire in a hangar on board the cruiser, Birmingham, at Portsmouth dockyard last Saturday. This suspicion is owing to the discovery of oil-soaked cotton waste in the wing of a seaplane in the hangar. The fire broke out in the starboard hangar of the Birmingham on January 2. Shavings w r ere found ablaze in the minesweeper Hebe, on January 5.
