ARREST OF KIDNAPPERS.

(United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, January 18. A message from Los Angeles states that, arrested on Santa Anita racetrack, Peter Anders, aged 30, confessed to- kidnapping and murdering Ross on October 19 last. Anders was captured through using ransom bills to lay bets. Anders also confessed that he killed his partner in the kidnapping of Atwood Gray and hid the bodies. G-men have recovered 14,402 dollars out of the 50,000 dollars ransom. It is believed that the remainder was spent on racetrack betting and high living. The trail of the ransom money was twice traced across the continent before an arrest was made.

Anders also confessed to 20 bank robberies.
