DUCHESS TO OFFICIATE. PARIS, November 15. Written apologies have been sent by Canon Dart both to the Duke of Windsor and to the Bishop of Fulham, Dr. Batty. The ,apologies concern remarks expressed privately by Cauon Dart about divorce. Simultaneously with these apologies, it is announced that the Duchess of Windsor will make her first official appearance at a British church function next Saturday. Accompanied by the Duke, she will open the annual jumble sale at Christ Church, Neuilly-sur-Seine, Paris. The invitation to the Duke and Duchess is believed generally to he an attempt hv the British church people of Paris to make amends for Canon Dart’s remarks.
