DR. SCHACHT RETIRES.
RESIGNATION AS MINISTER. HITLER’S PERSONAL ADVISER. (United Press Association—Copyright.) BERLIN, November 26. It is officially announced that Herr Hitler has relieved Dr. Scliacht from the post of Minister of Economics, in which General Goering will act until January 15, when Hei’r Funk, now un-der-secretary for propaganda, takes over the office. Dr. Schaclit remains President of the Reielisbank and also continues as Herr Hitler’s personal adviser as Reich Minister without portfolio. A Berlin cablegram dated September 26 stated: There is the strongest belief that Dr. Scliacht has resigned the Ministership of Economics and that he asked Herr Hitler for permission to announce liis resignation so that he might disavow responsibility for the four-year plan. Herr Hitler has not yet given permission.
