MR JARDINE AND ABDICATION. (United Press Association-—Copyright.. NEW YORK, July 15. In an interview with the “New York Time 9,” the Rev. Anderson Jardine, who officiated! at* the wedding of the Duke of Windsor, alleged that the Church of England inspired hostile forces in the United States to persuade American charities to abandon their sponsorship of his lectures. 'Hie threatened to “blow off the lid and expose tfye; real reasons” for the abdication of King Edward in his first speech, at Baltimore on July 22. He added that a political alliance between Lord Baldwin and the Archbishop of Canterbury had forced the abdication, and was leading to the disestablishment and disendowmerit of the Church.

He added: “1 will be a freelance preacher when I return to England, delivering talks similar to those I intend to give in the United States. Certainly' I will talk freely in England. I do net fear the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Church. I intend to tell the truth about them.”
