LEADER EXPELLED.
AMERICAN LABOUR DISPUTE. (United Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) TAMIPA (Florida), Nov. 12. # The executive council of the American Federation of Labour is reported to have decided by nine votes to eight in favour of the expulsion of Mr J. L. Lewis and liis committee of industrial organisation. It is expected that the expulsion motion will be introduced when the convention meets on Monday. * According to a message received on August 7 the council of the American Federation of Labour ordered the suspension within 30 days of the unions beaded by Mr J. L. Lewis, a president of the Mine Union, and having a membership of 1,000,000, unless they dissolved the so-called Committee of Industrial Organisation, which was formed to further industrial as against craft, unionisation within the federation. Ihe council declared it could not tdleiatc the existence of a rival organisation and that a dispute might threaten the disruption of the federation.
