MEMORY FAILS.

YOUNG WIFE’S ORDEAL. A woman from Prestwioh, Man-, Chester, who left her home to go shopping, and suddenly lost her memory, walked into the police station at Bridlington late at night, and, in. a tired voice, appealed, “I do not know if you 1 can help me. I am missing from home.” For three days a distracted husband had searched in vain for his 24-year-old-wife, Mrs Vera pimlott, of Prestwick. Immediately he heard that she uas safe he travelled to Bridlington, and they went home together. When Mrs Pimlott set off to go shopping she had 17s 6d in her purse. On her* way to Manchester she saw a poster advertising Bridlington. She decided to go there, paid 12s lOd for her ticket, got to Bridlington, walked to Flamborough, and slept behind bungalows. At dawn she started to walk again. She bought chocolate and slept in a hedge at Flamborough that night. Next day slip set off for Bridlington, and saw a newspaper contents bill: “Woman missing . from home.” She. bought a newspaper and found that it referred to another case. Then she saw a man who she thought was her brother. Her memory returned, and she went straight to the police station, giving her name and address.

She was wet through, and her shoes and stockings were badly worn. She was accommodated at the home cf Mrs Dain, mother of a local policeman. Mr Dain, stated: “Mrs Pimlott was thoroughly exhausted. She said that she had walked from dawn until dark fer three days.”
