Brigadier-General Sir Henry RageCroft, Conservative M.P. for Bournemouth, in a speech at Portsmouth, urged that the Dominions contribute a substantial air farce to the general scheme of Empire defence. Sir Henry said. “No one would deliberately wago war against Britain if they knew that behind us were 4000 fighting ’planes—looo each in Canada and Australia, and South Africa, 500 in New Zealand and 100 in each Crown Colony.
