REORGANISATION URGED.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 28. Interspersed with caustic comment from an extremely vocal but minor section, the Auckland Returned Soldiers’ Association at its Quarterly meeting to-night, carried a resolution urging the reorganisation of the Dominion’s defence. The resolution was : “That this meeting of the Auckland Returned Soldiers’ Association is of the opinion, in view of the present international situation, that vigorous measures for reorganisation and building up of the home defence forces of the Dominion are immediately necessary, and respectfully submits to the Government that the whole matter of defence he considered without delay, in which direction it is assured of the wholehearted support and co-operation of this Association.”
