THE WEATHER.
TEN DEGREESOF FROST. A frost of ten degrees was recorded at the Domain weather station this morning. A-ltl‘iough the sun shone from a, eloudless sky during the dag", conditions were made chilly by a sharp northerly wind. ' The maximum temperature yesterday was 48.2 degrees, and the inside minimum last night fell to 26.4 de—grees. Barometric pressure at 9 o’clock this morning was 30.1! inches, compared with 30.22 inches yesterday morning. TD-DAY’S FORECAST. WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, a\ noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather : Genoral inference: An intense anticyclone lies centrally over the Dominion, but pressure is commencing to fall in the south with the advance of a shallow depression across the Tasman Sea.
The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows :- 7 A _
Light to moderate northerly winds prevailing and gradually ireshening. W'eather fine with cold night- but milder to—morrow. Seas slight to moderate, but rising later north of Kaikoum.
