The “Daily Mail” says that Allen has been invited to captain the Marylebone team against the Indian team in the match commencing on May 11. This is interesting in view of the coining Test match with the Indians. The “Daily Mail” also makes the suggestion that Allen should captain the Englishmen on the next Australian tour.
