INSURANCE OF DOGS.

AGAINST DEATH ON ROADS. The increasing number of road deaths among dogs has caused a boom in dog insurance in Britain. “We have more than 20,000 policies in force, and the number is increasing daily,” an official of the only insurance company solely devoted to “canine cover” told an interviewer in London recently.

“The majority of our policies are held by the ‘little man.’ and range from £3 to £lO. AVe have dogs insured for anything from £1 to £6OO. “At present, about a third of the insurances are for dachshunds.”
