LATE COMMERCIAL.
TINWALD CLEARING SALE. In spite of the inclement weather on Saturday, Messrs J. T. Thomas and Co. field a highly successful dispersal sale at Carter’s Terrace, Tinwald, on account of Mr Iv. Glenie, who is giving up farming. There was a large attendance of buyers, who operated freely for the offering, which was in most cases of high grade. The cows were good, as the following prices indicated: —£9 10s, £8 10s, £6, £6, £5 15s, £5 10s, £4 ss, £3 ss, £2 15s. The average price was £5 14s per head. The horses sold as follow Aged half-draught £2O, yearling trotting fillies 12gns and £7, and an aged trotter at £6 10s. implements and produce sold as follow:—“Price” electric pump £ll 15s, electric Alfa Laval separtaor £lO 10s, Ford tourer car £23, spring cart £4 15s, .milk cart £4, farm dray and frame £9, gig £3 ss, hay rake £3, stacks hay £ll 10s and £4, mangolds and swedes £l3, whare £l, clover seed £3l 4s.
The furniture was of good quality, also selling well. Prices were: —-Wardrobes £3 10s and £2 2s 6d, carpets £5, £4 15s, £4, box ottoman £2, bedsteads £3 ss, £2 15s and £3 ss, dinner service £2 2s 6d, sideboard £2, Singer sewing machine £4 10s, suite £lO 15s.

New Zealand Mutton —Small, 4 a ct, sd; large, 33d, 4d. New Zealand Ewes —Small, 43d, 4|d; large, 33d, 4d'. New Zealand Frozen Beef —Ox binds, 3Jd, 43d; ox fores, 23d, 2fd. Dominion Chilled Beef—Hinds, 43d, 5d ; fores, 23d, 3d. South American Chilled BeefHinds, 4*d, 6d; tores, 3d, 3|d. New Zealand Pork—sd, 53d. Australian Lambs —5Jd, 7d. Argentine Lambs— o' 2 d, 7d. Lambs—The market is steady, and no material change is expected yet. Wethers—The market is weaker for light weights; heavy weights remain stctidv.
Ewes—The market is short of supplies. Prices nominal. Beef—The market is short of supplies. Prices nominal. Poik—There is a steady trade at rather better -.values. There is very little life in the trade.
