The “Sun-Herald” Service is informed that widespread Republican plots, combined with gun-running and terrorist tactics in the south-eastern counties of the Free State, provoked the Government’s sensational round-up last night. Charges have not been preferred. . .
The authorities are reticent, but it is confirmed that the 27 prisoneis included leaders of the Republican Army. „
