A GOODWILL VISIT.
FRIENDSHIPS WITH TURKEY.
GATHERING AT GALLIPOLI

The special representative of the Associated Press- aboard the cruiser H.M.A.S. Australia reports that thirty representatives of the Turkish People’s Party and thirty members of the War Graves Commission were entertained at breakfast aboard the Australia.
The president of the War Gravef Commission stressed the friendship of Turkey ad the British Empire, or which the visit of the warships was a timely manifestation. Fifty officers and men proceeded to Anzac Cove and attended a memorial service at Beach Cemetery.
The captains of H.M.A.S. Australia and H.M.A.S. Sydney and the Turkish War Grave Commissioners placed wreaths on the war memorial at Beach Cemetery and at Lone Pine. The captains also placed wreaths on the Turkish memorial and then toured the district, including the Now Zealand memorial. The Turks entertained parties from both ships in the evening.
