EASTER SERVICES.
ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH, TiNWALD MEMORIAL TO MR C. E. JENNINGS Good Friday’s services in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Tinwald, were well attended, and the vicar (the Rev. H. A. Childs) delivered suitable addresses at all services. A good collection resulted for St. Saviour’s Orphanage. The Sunday School’s Lenten offerings of £1 9s are also to be forwarded to St. Saviour s. A large congregation witnessed the dedication of a memorial on Saturday evening to the late Mr O. E>. Jennings, a prominent worker for the church foi over 14 years and secretary and treasurer for a long time. The memorial is a beautiful dark oak reredos of fire panels, chastely carved, simple in design and of arresting dignity. The reredos is a gift to the church by the widow and family of Mr Jennings, and adds greatly to the beauty 1 i of the church. The church was tastefully decorated for Easter Sunday services, and large congregations enjoyed the special hymns and music.
