Carrying the pennant “Royal Mail,” tho Union Airways liner Karoro initiated the inland air mail service today. The Karoro brought 11 bags of mail from the north, and left 15 minutes later for Dunedin. FOUR BAGS FROM SOUTH. DUNEDIN, This Day. The air mail was officially opened this morning, Union Airways carrying four bags, weighing 631bs and containing 3589 letters, from the Taieri Airport. This is only one-third of the capable carriage, but is considered a good start.
