DEATH AFTER FEAST.
FIFTEEN INDIANS POISONED. CALCUTTA, February 24. Fifteen are dead and many are seriously ill after a feast at a religious ceremony, in the village o± Kalyat, near Shoranu, Madras. The police bolieve that an Arrana (or Salamander) which the local inhabitants declare to be poisonous, was either dropped or introduced in some way into the food. Two Arranas were captured and sent to a research institute for analysis.
