OBITUARY.
MR T, B. O’CONNOR. AUCKLAND, Feb. 5. The death has occurred of Mr T. B. O’Connor, aged 76. He was a noted all-round athlete in the ’eighties. He was a forward in the first New Zealand Rugby team tb go to Australia, and also captained Auckland vfhen the British team was beaten here m 1888. MR J. G. COOK. WELLINGTON, Feb. 5. The death occurred suddenly at Parliament Buildings, Wellington, of Mi John Godfrey Cook, wool instructor of the Department of Agriculture, at the age of 59 Mr Cook joined the department as wool instructor in 1920, having acquired in private work a wide experience of wool and its grading and classing. He was a Boer War veteran, having left New Zealand for South Africa with the first contingent. He is survived by his wile, two sons, and two daughters.
