THE WEATHER.
WARM CONDITIONS TO DAY. Conditions were warm and sunny in Ashburton to-day. The sky was slightly cloudy and there was little wind. The maximum temperature yesterday was 09.9 degrees, and the minimum last night 52.2 degrees. The barometric pressure at 9 o’clock was 29.99 inches, compared with 29.93 inches yesterday. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather: — General inference: Pressure is high over New Zealand, blit a slight disturbance is crossing the South Island. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: Light to moderate and variable winds. Weather mainly fair, but cloudy at times, and some scattered misty rain on the coast. Seas: A considerable swell, but decreasing.
