TO-DAY’S FORECAST. WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at neon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— General inference: A rather intense anti-cyclone is centred OA - er New I Zealand. I The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as fclloAA's:— | Light to moderate and variable winds, Avitli south-easterly to northeasterly predominating. ' Weather mainly fair, but cloudy to OA r ercnst in parts cf Canterbury, Avitli light rain in places, especially near the coast. Seas smooth to moderate.
